I guess I made them nervous last night.
Heart rate dropped to 25 bpm, so they shot me up with atropine, which interestingly is used as an antidote for exposure to toxic nerve agents and pesticides, yum!
I am at present enjoying the side effects of headache and blurred vision.
Breakfast! Mmm....chicken broth. Man I want out of here.

Atropine, hmm. It crops up in a lot of Poirot for some reason.

Good news: no known allergies!
Not-so-good news: ***Clear liquids
Put that in big bold-face font, why don’t they.
Would they let Toby in? They should.

So when I deployed to Iraq way back in the day (2007-2008) we were given 2 auto-injectors, one of which was diazepam and the other was atropene. This was still when they were pretty sure we weren’t going to be hit with chemical weapons (chlorine attacks aside), but still issued them to people headed downrange.
Some time into the deployment (can’t remember exact timing as it’s irrelevant, but I do specifically recall WHAT happened), we suddenly got orders from our chain of command that all diazepam/atropine injectors were to be turned in to the company. Why? Turns out people were using them recreationally to catch a high. Some people’s kids.
Get well soon. I always enjoy reading your posts.

I think The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is one, but there were others. I can’t be bothered to look up which.
If I recall correctly, Christie had some pharmacy background contributing to that.

But jello!
I mean, gotta find the good side when you can.
Get well, man. I’m not ready to lose Toby and Sunchaser content from my daily diet.

Yikes! I just got caught up on your situation and I hope that all goes well. It sounds like you’re in the right place, but yeah, I can sympathize with wanting to get the hell out of there.
I did the liquid diet thing a few weeks back in prep for the latest colonoscopy and endoscopy - they got me from both ends this time. Two day prep, nothing but broth and coconut/pineapple (don’t call it piña colada...) Hawaiian Punch. On the way home from the procedure I had my driver over for two large pizzas. I know I shouldn’t have, but starvation got the best of me, and now I’m still trying to work that off (as well as all of the Halloween candy I’ve eaten - if I keep this up there won’t be any left for the kids).

The atropine should help with any organophosphate poisoning you may have had in your farm business time. Old way to remember the poisoning is “blind as a bat, dry as a bone, red as a beer, and mad as a hatter” sorry, nothing there about significant bradycardia. Good luck

And we were starting to think that you were faking it! Just kidding. Feel better, dude. Hopefully they find a clear and obvious issue that's easily fixed.

Heres hoping its something easy to catch and solve like an esoteric drug interaction.

Too bad they didn’t prescribe some activities to get your hear racing. Imagine being prescribed things like going to the race track as a medical treatment.
Hopefully you make a quick and full recovery, being in the hospital is no fun.

Have not been on much recently. Sorry to see this. Get better soon - can’ t bill the time you spend in the hospital. (Well, actually you can. But probably shouldn’t. So get better!)

“Exposure to...pesticides” sounds like it might be an occupational hazard in your line of work....get well soon.
